I can’t count how many hours I have spent filtering through RV forums after something disastrous has happened to our coach.
You know the feeling as an RV owner when you’re out in the middle of nowhere and something goes wrong. You don’t have spare parts so you have to make do with what you have.
It’s an unsettling feeling and we aren’t the type of RVers to take our motorhome to the shop. We hate dealing with service techs and paying those higher prices for repairs and quite possibly the worst of it all…. Mechanical labor.
Can anyone relate? So when that has happened I have pulled up the trusty RV forums, grab a chair and hold the flashlight while Nate is fiddling around with whatever it is that’s broken.
We’ve both spent hours reading these RV forums even if they are outdated. The general mechanics are usually the same (usually).
The RV community online has been amazing when we are stuck but then again my husband is quite possibly the handiest guy. I keep telling him he should have taken the RV mechanic course and offer that as a service to other travelers.
But alas I’m here today to bring you a list of RV forums you can cruise in hopes that this makes it easier on you when you are looking for something.

RV Specific Forums
If you’re a Forest River owner like we are there is quite a lot of information in this specific RV forum. We’ve found out that our motorhome has quite a few defects and cheap parts just from reading through the questions and answers here.
This forum is quite detailed and has a ton of categories including travel chat, RV news, financial chats and the ever helpful RV repair forum.
Bookmark this Forest River RV Forum and thank yourself later.
If you’re a Thor owner this is going to be a good one for you. Not only do they cover Thor specific RVs there is an entire RV life community here. You could easily participate in this Thor RV forum and not be a Thor owner.
Jayco owners raise your hands! This Jayco RV forum is for you and there is a lot to offer here including an RV repair forum. They have a list of recalls, classifieds, manuals and more.
Airstream Air Forums
If you’re living the Airstream life and need a place to hang out and chat rivets you will find your tribe here.
This Airstream RV forum is packed full of information and they have an entire technical category for RV repair forum. They include a list of rallies, chat rooms and more.
Grand Design owners are a tight group and this forum is for you guys. They have threads for each model and threads for maintenance & repairs, travel and more. Click over to find your tribe in the Grand Design RV forum.
I haven’t met someone who owns a Heartland but this forum is for you. There is a ton of Heartland specific information in this RV forum so here ya go… Your Heartland RV Forum.
This is one of the least detailed forums I have popped into. The threads are broken down by topic, there is a for sale section and quite a bit more to offer here. Click over to read through the Prevost RV Forum.
I have seen so many of these little cuties on the road so I know this community is fierce. If it weren’t for our kids I wouldn’t mind owning a Scamp. If you need to find Scamp info here is your Scamp RV Forum.
I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to afford a Tiffin but man these coaches are gorgeous. If you are a Tiffin owner and need to know how to fix something or just find your tribe of people here is your Tiffin RV forum.
Where are my Winnebago owners at? This Winnie RV Forum is for you. This is a typical forum with threads for RV repairs, life on the road and more.
This forum is for everyone who lives and loves Skoolies. It’s designed like every other forum with categories for conversions, electrical, maintenance and more. Click over to read the Skoolie forum.
5th Wheel Forums
If you’re a 5th wheel owner you can obviously find your home in the above specific model forums but you will also find a home here. Like most of the other forums above you will find sections for financials, RV repairs, traveling and more. Click over to read through the 5th Wheel RV Forum.
I’m in quite a lot of RV Facebook groups and there are good groups and there are mediocre groups. Each full-time RV life group seems to be a lot of the same. So I would find one you like and not worry about joining a ton of them.
Below I’m listing my favorite RV lifestyle group that just happens to be the place to go for all things RV travel and entrepreneurship on the road.
If you’re looking to make money on the road and need a community this is your tribe.
The RV Entrepreneur
This group is owned and operated by Heath & Alyssa. They have quite the following and resources for RVers. Head over to check out The RV Entrepreneur.
RV Model Specific Facebook Groups
Other RV Forums
These RV forums aren’t necessarily specific to a model of RV. They are more catch alls for everything RV and travel.
Reddit is hit and miss in my opinion. I find a lot of full-time travelers looking to promote themselves carpet bag these forums with their videos and blogs. Just a little note… Reddit users don’t generally tolerate or like shameless self-promotion.
If you ask a question people are generally very nice and will answer it for you.
If you are looking for a community online to join while you travel there is no shortage of options. There are so many options out there like boondocking RV forums, RV troubleshooting forums and more. There is a wealth of information out in the world and the RV community is a tight-knit group that are always willing to lend a helping hand when you need it.
Happy travels friends!
