Motorhome Kitchen Storage and Organization
I’m not going to lie… our RV 45% of the time is a total mess and living in an RV full-time is a job in and of itself. All of the constant cleaning and organizing takes time and resources. No matter how many times you clean in one day there is always something else to be done.
Living in a small space takes work and upkeep just like living in a big space. There just isn’t as much time to spread out and get away from the messes like living in a big house.
So this week I’m bringing you how to organize your RV and the motorhome kitchen storage and organization has been the most popular topic I have answered questions on.
So let’s dive in!

How do I organize my camper cabinets?
This is a hot topic not only on Instagram where I hang out the most but also on Pinterest.
I see it constantly in my feed people asking for tips on how do I organize my camper cabinets???
Well here’s how we organize our camper cabinets and I hope this will help give you ideas on how to organize yours.
First off I got rid of all the boxes that I could by using the storage containers for dry goods. I store these in our freezer actually since we have a full sized residential combo. I keep all of our rices, bread crumbs, coffee beans, sugar and flours in these containers in the freezer.
It not only keeps out food fresh longer but I can utilize more space in the RV and free up more space to organize my camper cabinets for other things that can’t be frozen.
I use these clear storage bins for my actual camper cabinets so I can see through them easily. Again, these help me to get rid of all those
pesky cardboard boxes that come in from shopping.
I have 4 of these inside the pantry in various sizes. I had to measure my cabinet entry points then the inside of the cabinets also.
These are where I keep oils, vinegars, kids snacks, crushable items like tortillas and breads.
We have a booth in our RV with storage under the seats. This is space that I have to use for our tupperware, dry food, small appliances and more.
I had a couple plastic file boxes at home before we sold everything and I stuck those in the storage under the booth to keep things in place as we travel. This helps tremendously with keeping things organized.
I have also found that stackable crates from Walmart fit these compartments as well.
Just measure your space and decide on what will go in there then find a bin that works with what you’ve got.
How do I maximize my RV space?
If you’re like us and you have a class a motorhome then I’d suggest using as many bins as possible in the small spaces that you have.
These RVs have awkward spaces so it’s not always possible to fit a shelf or drawers.
Use your vertical space as well! Don’t be afraid to use command hooks and utilize that wall space you’ve got.
How do you store towels in a camper?
This is going to vary based on what kind of RV you have but I actually store my bath towels in the back bathroom over the shower.
Our kitchen and bathroom hand towels go in a bin above my washing machine.
There isn’t enough storage space in the kitchen to store extra kitchen towels so I have to walk a few feet each time I need a new towel which really isn’t a big deal.

RV Bathroom Storage
Our RV bathroom storage is actually quite impressive but it also helps that we have 2 bathrooms.
There were a couple things we did in there though that really helps out.
First, we use our back shower for extra storage because there is no way I’m trying to fit in that tic tac box to shower.
Second, we bought some hanging planters to store toothbrushes and toothpaste for the kids. It’s easy to grab and I don’t have to worry about anyone leaving the toilet lid open and dropping something in there from the cabinet.
Everything Else
When I have a chance to expand on this post I plan on it but for now everything else is going to cover quite a lot of bases.
Movie Storage
We brought our entire movie collection with us in the RV. We purchased these books and threw our cases away. This has been a huge help!
Toy Storage
We don’t have the best toy storage but we repurposed cube shelf bins that we had in our home previously for toys.
I have 2 collabsible cube shelf bins that I make the girls rotate. They get 1 bin at a time and the other is under our bed when it’s not in use.
Pots & Pans
I use our tiny above the stove cabinet for most of our pans but there are also quite a few of them in teh oven. Don’t be afraid to use that oven!
Remotes & Miscellaneous
If there is anything else hanging around I throw it in these baskets I bought. These baskets came from Amazon and you can even hang them on command hooks as long as they don’t get too heavy.
That’s really it for now that we have gotten questions on.
If you want to see anything in particular just comment below or shoot us a message on Instagram and I will show you what we are working with.
