What is your favorite outdoor family activity? 🌲 Ours is definitely hiking. We love our bikes too but the girls are in a place where they can’t confidently bike in places we want to go. So we got out of the city today and escaped to Mt. Lemmon. There was lots of whining from one tiny tot but she made it through. The air was lighter and the breeze was cool. We sat for a while and listening to the forest and the life within. It was a great day for a great day. What are you up to today?
Most afternoons and weekends are spent here. If we Most afternoons and weekends are spent here. If we were going to live in the Sonoran Desert we were going to have a pool. So you know where to find me. Now to go find and purchase a gallon of sunscreen. 🤔
I’ve disappeared a bit from over here. It’s be I’ve disappeared a bit from over here. It’s been a bit crazy pants here. My business is thriving so I have been heads down working my tail off. How are all my travel pals?
Lists, activities, busyness. In a world of uncerta Lists, activities, busyness. In a world of uncertainty it’s nice to just be still. In light of being still I have been looking through our photos from our travels picking out my favorites and realized just how much I haven’t shared. While I have my opinions on the politics that take place here it sure felt monumental to stand in this historic place with my family. We visited many places for the first time together. I’ve always said I’m growing up with my girls and this sure felt like one of those moments. We honored the fallen at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington National Cemetery as well as the other memorials. The sacrifice that so many make on behalf of our freedom was brought to life before our eyes. It made it all so much more real being there and seeing the sea of white crosses. We sat on the lawn of Capitol Building and told our girls why these buildings were so important. So while this is a city I don’t think I will return to anytime soon it was an important one.
Guys. In case you weren’t aware I’m SO excited Guys. In case you weren’t aware I’m SO excited to have a house again. I’m counting my blessings during this weird time. What are you grateful for right now?
I’ve hit my peak. ✖️ My peak for being stron I’ve hit my peak. ✖️ My peak for being strong for others. ✖️ My peak preparing for the unknown. ✖️ My peak for being in this house not being able to leave. ✖️ My peak for my husband who bless his soul is driving me insane with these virus updates. Even traveling full-time in our RV gave me the opportunity to escape. I wasn’t always pent up in that same space consistently. I’m ready to get out and go about normal life. Running a business from home in the midst of this uncertain and unsteady world has been a blessing. But it’s not always butterflies and rainbows. And it’s totally fine that it’s not always great. Just like a job outside the home won’t always be amazing. I’m choosing to give myself a break. A break from worrying about the pandemic... a break from worrying about being prepared. A break from allowing it to weigh me down. A break from the news updates my husband is forcing on me. You can only power through for so long but friends eventually we all need a break. Don’t ignore your body and mind. Give it what it needs.
We’re addicted to interruptions. I remember a t We’re addicted to interruptions. I remember a time when I could sit and watch an entire movie without getting up or checking my phone once. Do you remember those times when you would only get up during commercials to get snacks and go pee? Yeah me too. 🙈 Nothing else could pull me away from my people or favorite show. But these days with all the tech in our homes interruptions have become more prominent and yet we’re addicted to being productive and busy. In a world of constant buzzing I crave more boundaries. When we moved into the RV I wanted it to be less than what it turned out to be... so I’m drawing a line in the sand and creating those boundaries now that we’re in our home. I’ve had to adjust and really make boundaries and priorities so it all flows sans guilt. That’s means bed by 9 and up by 6:15. Work gets done early and I have more time to be present with the girls. So what do you do quell distractions? I’m still looking for ways to cut cell phone time.

We are all moved in now and there is more stuff we want to sell but we’re hesitant with the virus rates rising in Arizona. How are you all doing? Where are you at these days?
